Lanikai Island

We arrived at Lanikai Beach moments before sunrise…

My aim was to get the sun rising between the two islands out the back. Though, once I had been swimming for 15 minutes or more out the back - I realised that I would still have to swim much further out to get this angle, and I realised it might not even look as good as I imagined. So I opted for the slightly safer option of shooting just a few hundred meters from shore (which was still a fair way out, and was a little eerie with the strong current sweeping up the beach). I waited for the sun to rise to the top of the right island & took this!
